[music playing] [music playing] The Yielding project was areally fun project to tackle.
Originally, the housewas really closed in.
There were a lot ofwalls, and my clients really wanted an open space.
So what we ended up doinghere in the kitchen was we removed the wall rightwhen you walk in the foyer, so we opened up that space.
We took the kitchen and thebreakfast nook and combined it and made it onereally large kitchen.
I love it because of allthe uppers and lowers.
Another fun element in thisspace is the backsplash.
It's just kind ofa play on pattern.
It's a really light tan color.
I wanted to use this totie into the bench seating that is off this island.
The biggest design challengein this space was the room.
We didn't have a tonof room to work with.
Now that we've combinedthe breakfast nook with the originalkitchen, we still needed a space for the dining room.
So I had to be really creative.
[music playing] So the first order of businessfor me was finding the chair.
With that fabric, I ended upmaking these custom cushions that attaches to the island.
I think it really givesoff an elegant look, but it's also really practical.
So the chairs match thecushion, and the cushion matches the window treatments.
So it all ties in fora really seamless look.
